TDA DECKING CONTRACTORS ADD FINANCE TO RANGE OF CUSTOMER SERVICES.

26 April 2007

Decking contractors registered with the Timber Decking Association (TDA) are now able to provide customers with access to funding along with their quality assessed design and build services.

The TDA sets the standard for quality and good practice in the deck and landscape joinery sector. To join the TDA, a contractor must first submit to an audit of their workmanship to ensure they are capable of building decks to the standards of the Association in compliance with the DeckMark™ quality assurance scheme. Compliance with DeckMark™ is a mandatory requirement of membership. The giving of an extended performance warranty on the entire structure (not just the timber used) backed by an independent insurance policy is another mandatory requirement.

“All of our membership requirements are designed to give confidence to customers that they are placing the building of their deck in safe hands” says Steve Young, Director of the TDA.

In addition to being firms of assessed design and build capability, registered TDA contractors are now able to offer their customers a range of financial options which include:
        • Interest free loans
        • 6 and 12 month deferred payment schemes
        • Home improvement loans

Commenting on this new service which is provided in collaboration with Peregrine Consumer Finance, Steve Young says:

“When it comes to turning a dream into reality TDA registered contactors not only have the skills, experience and insurance backing to create high performance structures they are now also able to offer a finance scheme tailored to an individual customers specific requirements.”
