Online help and information about decking and outdoor wood
January 2006
The Timber Decking Association (TDA) has relaunched its website for 2006.
www.tda.org.uk - is an online resource for all those seeking information and advice about timber decking in the UK. The site is packed with useful information and advice on every aspect of decking design and construction. It includes guidance on Planning and Building Regulations, selecting the right timber for outdoor use and the principles of good design.
One new innovation is the "Where to buy" feature for materials and contractors. With a simple click on the UK map you can find a TDA approved installer or the stockists of DeckMark™ quality assessed timber components that operate in your area including the Channel Islands, Spain and Portugal.
The site has an extensive question and answer section, which is interactive. Companies and architects can put specific questions and get an answer within 12 hours. Order forms for publications can also be requested online, such as the TRADA/TDA Manual for professional designers, The Essential Guide to Decking for DIY enthusiasts and the TDA's free brochure called An introduction to creating quality decks.
