All you need to know about quality deck design, installation & materials

The Timber Decking and Cladding Association (TDCA) is an independent organisation. We are a technical and advisory body that operates on a not for profit basis. We provide guidance on how to correctly specify and install timber decking and cladding. This website is all about timber decking. If you are interested in timber cladding please visit Timber Cladding Home.

We advise you to use DeckMark approved materials and/or professional installers to help ensure that your timber decking is fit for purpose. DeckMark is the quality scheme operated by the TDCA. It means that the wood decking material or the installer meets our quality standards.

Our deck calculator app provides deck builders with a quick and simple means of quantifying the materials needed to produce a pressure treated softwood deck. Aimed at professional and DIY installers, the app can be downloaded free from itunes.
